Maruti Suzuki's decision, will not manufacture diesel cars from April 2020, know why

Maruti Suzuki, a well-known company in India, has made a big announcement that it will not manufacture diesel cars from April 1, 2020. The company has just released Baleno and Alto with BS-VI compliant engines just a few days back. Now the company has made it clear that it is going to remove the diesel engine from its line-up. Now the company also said that the diesel engine can be reintroduced if there is a good demand.

Season to shut down diesel engine:
Upgrading diesel engine according to BS-VI norms is costing a lot. This will increase the prices of models too. This makes a lot of impact on their sales. Due to this, the company has decided to close the diesel engine. The company said that diesel engine will not be present in linear capacity of less than 1.5 liters. The company also said that 1.5 liters of diesel engine will be reintroduced upon demand. The company's decision has included light commercial vehicles.
